European Regeneration Areas Network - Quartiers en Crise
Established in 1989, Quartiers En Crise is a network of European towns and cities that work together to promote integrated approaches to revitalising disadvantaged areas. The organisation encourages the involvement of politicians, service providers and local residents in achieving its goals.

Most of these towns and cities face similar problems of poverty and social exclusion such as poor levels of housing, social segmentation and high levels of ill health. The organisation’s aims are as follows:

  • to develop projects to facilitate practice and experience sharing trans-nationally across various sectors of concern

  • to establish partnerships between local authorities and civil society organisations

  • to involve the communities targeted in research and decision-making
  • undertaking research which will have a positive impact on future urban communities

  • creating a network which constitutes a European ‘think tank’ on areas of social exclusion, integration, diversity and urban regeneration

Quartiers en Crise is represented by the Social Investment Agency, Presentation in Catch
